We know that life can be hard. Things do not always go to plan. Sometimes things surprise us and we are left struggling to cope. At ChangeIT Counselling we are here to help you make better choices in life, improve your health, feel better emotionally, deal with stress and look your best.

Our Counselling Approaches We Use:

Our aim is to enable you to improve your health, quality of life and relationships with people around you. We help you achieve this by ensuring we understand what your difficulties are and then walk alongside you to help you make positive changes. 

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you discover your unhelpful cycles that are keeping you stuck. It does this by exploring the links between your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours and then working on braking those cycles.  

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you become more aware of what thoughts you are having and teaches you how to cope with those thoughts. It helps you do things in life that you enjoy and helps you live in line with the values you want to hold in life. 

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

CFT helps you understand how our brains are tricky, that often we behaviour in a way that is not our fault. It allows you recognise when you are in a fight and flight mode and how to calm this down by learning to sooth and take good care of yourself.

Mindfulness (MF)

We often go through the day on auto pilot. Sometime the consequence of this is that our minds sabotage us. MF teaches you how to sit quietly and pay attention to your thoughts, the environment around you and your body. It teaches you how to bring your mind back when it wanders and effectively reduce your auto-pilot mode, allowing you to live a better quality of life. 

Motivational Interviewing (MI)
and

Often people feel torn in different directions about issues in their lives or feel stuck and do not know how to move forward. MI  helps you decide how to set goals and through building your confidence, work effectively towards your chosen goals.

Life Coaching

We offer life coaching to help you identify how you would like to change to reach your potential. We enable you to make useful changes in your health, social, work and relationships.
